Assist very low income, disabled and elderly persons with HUD (Federal) housing choice vouchers monthly housing subsidy.

Security deposit grant program used in conjunction with above programs and subject to certain jurisdictions.

Our Mission is to eliminate homelessness and alleviate poverty in Hancock County through individual and community education, affordable housing, and advocacy.
Services
Hope House: Transitional, residential shelter providing congregate living and supportive services to homeless women and homeless women and children; can house up to nine families.
Independence Program: Rental assistance and supportive services for homeless transitional youth and families at or below 35% of the Area Median Income.
Housing Office: Provides housing search assistance for low income men, women and children and fair housing information.
SSI Ohio Project: A pilot project sponsored by the Coalition on Housing and Homelessness in Ohio (COHHIO) which serves the homeless (or at risk of becoming homeless) who also have a disability. The Project Specialist assists eligible individuals in applying for SSI/SSDI and other benefits. The goal of this project is for eligible individuals to be approved for benefits at an expedited rate.
Bridges Out Of Poverty Initiative: Bridges is a community sustainability model that works with all parts of the community as well as individuals and families in poverty. The goal is to eliminate poverty in Hancock County.
